Our Founders

  • Rhys Allen is the founder and lifting coach expert of Training Room. He is a current Division 1 Track and Field athlete for UMD and has also represented Great Britian. As a former intern with UMD's strength and conditioning staff, Rhys gained valuable experience coaching Division I athletes across all sports. He combines his elite competitive background with expert coaching to design strength programs that help athletes build power, refine technique, and maximize performance.

  • Anthony Petrillo is the running expert behind Training Room. As a former Division I distance runner for the University of Maryland, he now competes for the Garden State Track Club. He holds a degree in Kinesiology, served as a teaching assistant for UMD’s Exercise Physiology course, and interned with their strength and conditioning staff. Combining a deep understanding of exercise science with firsthand competitive experience, Anthony brings the insight and knowledge needed to guide athletes toward smarter, more effective training and lasting performance gains.
